- Assure that distance education remains congruent with the college purposes and goals
- Oversee the administration of the institution’s Blackboard Learning System and compressed video classrooms
- Collaborate with college employees to institutionalize new distance learning practices
- Develop and implement policies for on-line and distance education courses consistent with widely accepted pedagogical practices
- Assist in the accreditation of the college’s programs for distance education
- Create implementations and improvements to the institution’s Blackboard system which benefit the college community
- Develop fellowships with other institutions that support the college’s programs
- Develop modules and training materials supporting the use of the institution’s Blackboard system
